Myanmar Engineering Council Meeting : Collaborative vision for advancing engineering in Myanmar

A meeting held in Yangon on Sunday brought together the Patrons, Chairman, Vice Chairman, members, and Executive Committee members of the Myanmar Engineering Council. The gathering commenced with speeches from the Patrons, including Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, among others.

The focal point of the discussions was the imperative to foster cooperative efforts between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Engineering Council. The aim is to elevate engineering subjects to international standards and provide essential technologies for the development of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

A milestone in the study of engineering subjects was highlighted during the meeting, with the forthcoming centennial celebration in the 2024-2025 academic year. The dignitaries emphasized the need for collaborative endeavors to propel the engineering community forward.
