Efforts for National Races :Cash donation to monastic education school in Mon State

The Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department under the Ministry of Border Affairs has been donating cash to monastic education schools in border areas. On Thursday, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein attended a donated cash hand-over ceremony at Dhamma Thuka Monastery in Mawlamyaing.

It began with religious norms and offering offertories to members of the Sangha. And, over 4.3 million Kyats donated by the Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department and cooking oil and instant noodle donated by the Mon State Government for 145 students at the Monastery were handed over.

It’s reported that the Ministry of Border Affairs has planned to donate over 19.5 million Kyats for students at 5 monastic education schools in Mon State this year.
