Myanmar's Peace Process: ASEAN Special Envoy holds meeting with NCA Signatories

On Wednesday, a meeting took place in Nay Pyi Taw between a delegation led by ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar, Mr. Alounkeo Kittikhoun, and representatives from seven NCA Signatories Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs), including the Arakan Liberation Party, Kayin National Union/Kayin National Liberation Army (Peace Council), Lahu Democratic Union, Pa-O National Liberation Organization, Democratic Kayin Buddhist Army, New Mon State Party, and Restoration Council of Shan State, along with the Peace Process Steering Team.

The ASEAN Special Envoy extended greetings, and discussed matters on implementing the 5-point consensus of ASEAN and Myanmar's peace process, as well as humanitarian assistance Dr. Naw Kapaw Htoo, Vice Chair of the KNU/KNLA Peace Council, expressed greetings on behalf of the NCA Signatories EAOs, followed by the discussions of each representative U Khun Okkar, the Patron of PNLO, conveyed words of thanks, and the meeting concluded with closing remarks from the ASEAN Special Envoy.
