Counter-Terrorism Actions: 6 hostages rescued during security operation

On December 29th, Tatmadaw columns, acting on a tip-off, conducted security measures near Nyaung Pin Thit Village in Monywa Township of Sagaing Region.

During the operation, they discovered a temporary camp of PDF terrorists and seized one RPG missile, three improvised guns, various rounds of ammunition, seven vehicles, various drugs, and related items.

Moreover, six hostages, who had been arrested by the terrorists, were rescued, and necessary medical treatment is being provided to the released hostages. The seized items will be processed according to the procedures and regulations.

The PDF terrorists are in violation of the Geneva Convention and War Crime, and counter-terrorism actions will be carried out to take effective measures in line with existing laws.
