Industrial Sector: Ministry of Industry holds work coordination meeting

Ministry of Industry on Thursday held a work coordination meeting at the ministry office No. 30 in Nay Pyi Taw.

In the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than called for plans for the development of human resources and for sharpening the skills of officials and staff. He also urged attendees to complete the works to be carried out during the fiscal year as it is about to end. Emphasis must be placed on increasing income.

Regarding the project activities, the project progress reports must be systematically presented and the Plan, Do, Check, Act – PDCA and the Monitoring & Evaluation processes are important. The Union Minister also called on concerned officials to follow the government’s financial regulations, law, procedures, orders and instructions when requesting the allocation of funds for the fiscal year of 2024-2025 and the funds received must be used effectively.

Concerned officials must try to carry out their duties deeply. Training schools should evaluate whether or not the current teaching systems are successful and make it a Competency-based Training system, the Union Minister added. And, the meeting continued with discussions on findings on the performance during the financial year of 2022-2023, suggestions, reviews and plans. The Union Minister coordinated the discussions and concluded the meeting.
