Mourners attend mass at Prague cathedral for victims of shooting

Mourners attended a mass at St Vitus Cathedral in Prague for victims of Thursday's shooting at the city's Charles University. The service, including a moment's silence, comes on a day of national mourning in the Czech Republic. Fourteen people were killed when a student gunman opened fire on Thursday, before taking his own life as police closed in.

The gunman killed his father in their hometown of Hostoun before traveling the 14 miles into Prague to continue his deadly spree at Charles University. This week's shooting in Prague's UNESCO-listed historic centre was the deadliest since the Czech Republic emerged as an independent state in 1993.
