Agricultural Visit: Magwe Region CM meets local farmers in Natmauk

Magwe Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, on December 16th, visited a 10-acre model long-stable cotton plantation in TaungHtaunt Village of Natmauk Township, where he encouraged and oversaw the harvesting process.

The Chief Minister also met with local farmers, where an official from the Township Agriculture Department provided updates on the cultivation of the model plantation aimed at boosting cotton yield. Attendee farmers raised queries seeking knowledge, to which the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of using quality species to enhance yields.

He also highlighted the significance of technical support provided by the department and urged farmers to strive for successful cultivation in all three seasons. During the meeting, sunflower seeds were distributed to the farmers.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party proceeded to Kangyikone Village, where they inspected the harvesting of a monsoon paddy model plantation. The Chief Minister took the opportunity to instruct farmers on the requirements for boosting agricultural production and provided seeds of sunflower, green manure, and HsinThukha paddy.
