Religious Affairs in Sagaing Region: CM attends 75th Anni. Ceremony and visits Monastery

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw together with concerned officials attended the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Somra Baptist Church Ceremony on Wednesday.

During the ceremony at People’s Stadium in Somra Township, the Chief Minister stressed that the regional government is making efforts for the development of the Naga Self-Administered Zone. He also called for cooperation between locals and ethnic people for peace and stability in the region. And, he urged the locals who live near the border areas to follow laws and orders.

Then, Chairman of the Naga Self-Administered Zone reported ongoing working processes for the development of region. And, Committee Chairman for holding the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Somra Baptist Church Ceremony presented commemorative gift to the Chief Minister. There, the Chief Minister also provided 5 million kyats cash assistance.

Then, officials from the Somra Baptist Church presented gifts to members of the regional government and officials. And, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the performances of ethnic people.

On the same day, at the Theravada Buddha Sasana Monastery in Pan Sat village of LeShi Township, the Chief Minister and party offered offertories to the presiding Sayadaw and coordinated the requirements.
