Chile destroys 25,000 firearms

Chile destroys more than 25,000 firearms and accessories, the biggest number since 1990.

More than 8,000 of the weapons were seized by authorities, while about 13,000 were voluntarily surrendered as part of a campaign launched by left-wing President Gabriel Boric to reduce the circulation of firearms.
