Meeting on price stability: UCSCP held its meeting (2/2023)

Union Committee for Stability of Commodity Price held its meeting (2/2023) in the morning on December 6.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Union Committee for Stability of Commodity Price Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Committee Vice Chairs Union Ministers, Deputy Minister and officials in person and the Chief Ministers of Rgions and States, member of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Chairman of UMFCCI attended through Video Conferencing.

In his remark at the meeting, committee Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister U Win Shein said the Work Committee for Stability of Commodity Price are being formed under the leading of regions and states Chief ministers, the committee organized the coordination meetings with the Union Ministers of key ministries for the Stability of rice and cooking oil which are the staple foodstuff.

The committee also held the coordination meetings wit UMFCCI and its affiliated associations such as Myanmar Rice Federation, Myanmar Edible Oil dealers and Entrepreneurs Association, Myanmar Rice Mill Association and representatives of MFCCI and discussed to enact the Rice Law and purchasing monsoon paddy with the reference price.

Myanmar Rice Online (MyRO) system which the registration of rice storage, registration of export entrepreneurs and rice mill registration can be on digital platform.Next, the Committee Vice Chair Union Minister for Commerce clarified the process for the systematic distribution of edible oil to be carried out, arrangements for the stability of commodity price and the status of implementing commodity production and price stability by the Chief Ministers and committee members of regions and states.

Then, the Chairman of Union Committee for Stability of Commodity Price coordinated requirements of work process to be carried out for the stability of the price as per the sector and region.
