First snow covers Czech capital Prague as Christmas market opens

Fresh snow covered Prague as the annual Christmas market was open in the historic Old Town Square and a huge Christmas tree was lit. Heavy snowfall caused traffic disruptions across the country, including at Prague airport, and led to power outages on Saturday. In the south of the Czech Republic, weather services reported 75 centimeters of fresh snow overnight.
