Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Leader of the State Administration Council’s Information Team, provided updates on recent developments in Myanmar on Thursday. He explained plans to commence the Myanmar-China Maritime Security Exercise, along with reciprocal studies of navy vessels.

Additionally, he reported on the situation of repatriating illegal residents in border areas, cooperation between the governments and security forces of China and Myanmar to ensure stability in border areas, rule of law, and security.

He also pointed out the spreading of various rumors about recent developments in the country by destructive media outlets and those relying on Western power. Regarding ongoing armed conflicts, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun highlighted armed conflicts in northeastern Shan State, Kayah State, and Rakhine State.

He noted that insurgent groups are engaging in armed attacks, taking cover in public infrastructures such as education and health facilities. The Maj-Gen emphasized the insurgents' dissemination of fabricated news about the Tatmadaw.
