8th Union for the Mediterranean meeting kicks off in Barcelona

Delegations arrived in Barcelona for the 8th regional forum of the intergovernmental organization Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) on Monday.

The meeting this year marks the 15th anniversary of the UfM and took place against the background of Israel’s war against Hamas and the dire situation in Palestine.

The UfM comprises the 27 European Union member states and 16 partner countries from around the Mediterranean Sea.
