







Kathina robe offering ceremony of Maravijaya Monastery was convened in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.
Graced by members of Sangha led by Presiding Sayadaw of Pauk Myaing Monastery in Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw Abhidhaja Maha Rahta Guru Bhaddanta Zanida and residing sayadaws of Maravijaya Monastery, the ceremony was attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, together with Secretary of State Administration Council, Joint Secretary and wife, Members of the State Administration Council and their wives, Union Ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and other concerned officials.
First, the Senior General offered day meal, fruits, flowers and water to the Buddha Statue inside Maravijaya Monastery.
Then, the Senior General and attendees viewed around the Kathina robes, offertories, Padethabin structures prepared to be donated. After inaugurating the ceremony with three times recitation of “Namotassa”, the Senior General and congregation received the Five Precepts from the Presiding Sayadaw of Pauk Myaing Monastery and listened to the Metta Sutta preached by the Members of Sangha.
Then, the Senior General and wife offered Kathina robes and offertories to the Presiding Sayadaw of Pauk Myaing Monastery and Residing Sayadaw of Maravijaya Monastery, followed by the offering of Kathina robes and offertories to Members of the Sangha by the congregation respectively.
Afterwards, the Senior General and congregation listened to the sermons by the Presiding Sayadaw of Pali Takatho, Mingalar Zeyone Monastery of Pyinmana Township and Residing Sayadaw of Maravijaya Monastery and shared the merits gained.
After the ceremony was concluded with the chanting of “Buddha Sasanan Ciran Titthatu” three times, the Senior General and congregation offered day meal to the Members of Sangha led by the Presiding Sayadaw of Pauk Myaing Monastery.
