The Myanmar Railway, under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, has exciting plans to operate a sightseeing tour on the Taunggyi-Pawmu route during the upcoming Tazaungdaing holidays, from November 25th to 27th.

The journey promises a delightful experience for passengers, showcasing the beauty of the region. The train is set to depart at 8:00 am from Taunggyi Station, on an 11.41-mile trip that will take about 1 and a half hours. The tour will be conducted using a 2,000 horsepower engine train, comprising two coaches for both upper and ordinary classes, along with a control coach. For those opting for the upper class, the return trip will cost 4,000 kyats, while the ordinary class fare is set at 2,000 kyats. Plans are in progress to potentially extend the service based on passenger demand.
