Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 15th and 16th of November, illegal goods including palm oil, fertilizers, refrigerant gas, ceramic tiles, T-shirts, body shower and illegal timber worth over 175 million Kyats were confiscated in Mayangon district, at the Myanmar Industrial Port, at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Thilawa Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, in Yephyu township and at the Nyaungkhashay x-ray station.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
