Inspections in Taunggyi: Union Minister inspects technological matters

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw made inspections in Taunggyi Township of Shan State on Friday. At the Technological University and Government Technical High School, the Union Minister and party met with the Rector, Pro Rector, departmental heads, teachers and staff.

After hearing the reports of the officials, the Union Minister urged all the teachers to nurture the students to become qualified nationals for the country.

Then, the Union Minister and party viewed round classrooms, laboratories, teaching aid, library, workshops, sport ground and school hostels and coordinated the requirements. They also inspected Bogyoke Aung San Road measuring processes by the teachers and students of Civil Engineering Department from Taunggyi Technological University.

By conducting these kinds of research, students can gain learning opportunities theoretically and practically. It can help students to apply at workplaces and to get facts that needs to be taken into account to reduce Environmental and Social Impact in drafting civil engineering projects.
