






In response to information provided by vigilant local residents regarding acts of instability and terrorism, Khun Thaung Tun, the owner of New Power Fuel Station in Lwe Tat Village, Panglong was arrested on November 16th.
The investigation led to the apprehension of five more suspects at a warehouse in the compound of Pay Tu @ Mariano in Pan Mont Village.
The seized items include 12 RPG Launchers, 9 China-made Medium Machine Guns, 109 Type-81 Rifles, 130 various arms, 106 RPG Rockets, 6,100 Energa Bombs, 1,426 China-made String Grenades, 7,632 various bombs, over 13,000 rounds of 7.62 bullets, 100 detonating fuses for 107mm, 500 additional barrels of small arms, 1,829 magazines for China-made Medium Machine Gun, 950 kilograms of TNT gunpowder, and 200 kilograms of Ammonium Nitrate.
Furthermore, 2,000 sets of equipment, three unlicensed 6-wheeler Canters, one unlicensed Ford vehicle, and one unlicensed Vigo vehicle were also confiscated. Subsequent investigations resulted in the arrest of Pay Tu @ Mariano.
Interrogation revealed that the arms and ammunition were transported by 10 individuals donned in SSPP/SSA uniforms to Kone Kyaung Village in Panglong Township before being moved to Pay Tu's residence. The authorities intercepted the group as they were preparing to transport the arms and ammunition to Kayah State.
The authorities assure the public that further legal action will be taken against the suspects. Citizens are urged to report any information regarding the transportation of arms and ammunition or the whereabouts of KNPP and PDF terrorists. Cooperation from the community is essential for the collective effort to restore peace and stability.
