Agriculture Sector: Union Minister makes inspections in Zeyathiri Tsp

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung on Friday inspected the Advanced Center for Agricultural Research and Education in Zeyathiri Township.
There, after hearing reports by concerned officials, the Union Minister said that it is necessary to establish work plans according to the fiscal year to teach advanced agricultural studies that include research activities and to improve teaching skills.
Along with the promotion of agricultural production techniques, experts have to make an effort to educate and organize the nutritional value of healthy and safe GAP products.
And, the Union Minister viewed round the library, laboratories, modern fruit ripening room, air control system storage room, crop storage room and small factories for food production at the Center established as the India and Myanmar friendship memorial.
Also, at the Paddy Biological Garden Research Department, the Union Minister viewed cooling storage tank that does not use energy, advanced rice mill, production of nutritious animal feed from paddy crop by-products, cattle cake using straw, making paper using straw, rice-based nutritional value-enhanced snacks making and natural compost production technology.
And, the Union Minister addressed the volleyball competition of departments and universities under his Ministry.
