Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods, teak and vehicles seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 13th and 14th of November, illegal goods including palm oil, illegal teak and timbers, textile, ceramic bowls, motorbike batteries, mini drone, folding tables, unregistered vehicles and teak worth over 204 million Kyats were confiscated at the Nyaungkhashay x-ray station, in Taungoo district, at the TMT container checkpoint, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint, at the Hteedan Port container checkpoint, at the Yangon International Airport, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, in Monywa Township, in Pyinmana township, in Zeyathiri township and in Ottarathiri township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
