Efforts for Children: Course for Early Childhood Care and Development

The completion ceremony of Basic Course for Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) took place at the Primary School (Loilem) in Shan State on Tuesday with the presence of Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and concerned officials.

At first, the Chief Minister and party provided nutritious food to the children. During the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that among 7 projects which are being implemented by the Department of Social Welfare, improving early childhood care and development plays a vital role, and to develop mentally and physically, it is needed to nurture children in accordance with early learning development standards.

And, Shan State government will continue to assist cash and technology by collaborating with related departments, the Chief Minister added. Then, Director of the Social Affair Office (Shan State) made explanation on opening of primary schools.

This was followed by presenting certificates and cash awards to 57 trainees by the Chief Minister. After enjoying the performances of the trainees, the Chief Minister and party viewed teaching aid created by the trainees.
