Attack on University: KNPP and PDF attack Loikaw University

The KNPP and PDF terrorists intentionally launched an attack on the Loikaw University with heavy and small arms which is not a military target.

Along with the attack, they also tried to forcibly abduct academic staff and students. In order to ensure safety of teachers and students, in cooperation with the officials of the state government, they are taking systematic steps to transport them to safe places, and while doing so, there are mutual contacts with the terrorists.

The KNPP and PDF groups have been making terrorist acts in Loikaw Township and nearby areas since December 2021, it’s reported.
