








Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung visited Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.
The Union Minister provided cash assistance to athletes in training who will represent the ministry in the sports events. He then proceeded to Ngalaik Rubber Diversion Weir and instructed officials regarding irrigation water availability, environmental greening tasks, and plans for winter crop plantations along Razahtani and Panglaung Roads.
Additionally, the Union Minister met with local farmers in Lewe Township to discuss ways to enhance crop production in the Chaung Ma Nge catchment area. He emphasized the importance of cultivating crops throughout all three seasons to ensure food security and foster economic development in the country.
He highlighted the successful implementation of farming processes with the use of modern farm implements, coupled with necessary government assistance. He urged all farmers to actively contribute to the growth of the farming industry by effectively utilizing available opportunities.
During the meeting, mung bean and sunflower seeds were distributed to the farmers. The Union Minister and party also conducted an inspection of the thriving monsoon paddy plantation on a 200-acre model farm.
