SAG-AFTRA president calls new actors contract 'record breaking'

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) is holding a record breaking contract that has broken new ground and pattern again and again SAG President said. The SAG called off its 118-day strike after reaching a tentative agreement with studios for a new contract including higher pay and protections against the use of artificial intelligence.
While the deal needs to be ratified, and details of the contract have not yet been released, actors can return for making and promoting films right away. The deal comes just in time for studios to finish movies for next summer's blockbuster season, and some television shows can even be completed in time for spring. All SAG members are urged to fulfill their contractual obligations and return to work.
