Meeting with Health Staff:MOH Union Minister visits the Mental Health Hospital

Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win along with the Director General of the Department of Medical Service, Head of Public Health and Medical Service and officials made inspection at Yangon Mental Health Hospital on Friday.

They inspected storage of medicines, catering service for patients, rehabilitation center and plans for flood preventive measures. During the meeting with the officials and staff, the Union Minister said that mental health plays a vital role for human beings, and thus, the Ministry is making efforts for providing essential medicines and medical equipments for the hospital.

He also added that the government gives assistants for health care workers, so that, they have to take their responsibilities dutifully and try hard for the hospital and country as well. The Medical Superintendent of Yangon Mental Health Hospital reported the situations on working processes of the hospital, health care worker force and hospital maintenance processes.

Then, the Union Minister and party coordinated the requirements upon the reports of the officials and staff. Cash assistance were also provided for the health staff during the meeting.
