Coordination Meeting: Meeting on holding Mahakathina robe offering ceremony held

Sagaing Region government held a coordination meeting for holding 2023 MahaKathina robe offering ceremony and 2nd rice provisions donation ceremony to 1,000 members of Sanga on Thursday.

The meeting took place at regional government meeting hall and attended by Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, members of regional government, region/ district/ township level departmental officials and many other concerned officials.

During the meeting, Chief Minister said that the MahaKathina robe offering ceremony is celebrated annually in Sagaing Region and he believes committee members can arrange this year ceremony successfully. Similarly, plans are underway for successfully holding 2nd rice provisions donation ceremony to 1,000 Sangas by forming committees.

And, Chief Minister added that collective efforts are needed among committee members in implementing their duties and to report requirements to the regional government. Then, Sagaing Region Social Affairs Minister, Chairman of holding MahaKathina robe offering ceremony and 2nd rice provisions donation ceremony to 1,000 members of Sanga Committee U Win Myat Soe made explanation on situations of forming committees and future work plans.

And, the attendees reported on preparations for reception of Sangas, receiving and listing of offertories tree, invitation and reception, offering meal to member of Sang and providing health care services. The meeting was concluded after coordinating the requirements on the reports of the attendees by the Chief Minister.
