






The awarding ceremony of Shan State Chief Minister’s trophy Inter-Township U-25 Men and Women Sepak Takraw Competition was held at the State Sports Training Stadium in Taunggy, at 3 PM on November 6.
Before the awarding ceremony, the final match of women competition between Pinlaung and Yatsauk (Lawksawk) Townships and the final match of men between Taunggyi and Naungcho (Nawnghkio)Townships were played and the Pinlaung Township and Taunggyi Township won in the relevant competitions.
The final matches were watched by the Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Ministers, State Advocate General, State/district/Township level officials, students and sports enthusiast.
At the prize awarding ceremony, Chairman of Pa-Oh Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htway and wife, State Advocate General, State Ministers, Chief Justice of State High Court and wives presented the medals and cash prizes and the Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye awarded the first prize trophies to the Pinlaung Township team of women and Taunggyi Township team of men.
At 6:30 PM on the same day, the honoring ceremony for victorious Shan State men volleyball team which won Championship trophy and women team which won third prize in 2023 Inter-Regions and State U-25 men and women volleyball competition was held at Taunggyi Township Hall.
At the ceremony, the Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye gave an honoring speech for Shan State represented victorious men and women volleyball teams.
Next, the administrators and coaches of men volleyball team which won Championship trophy in 2023 Inter-Regions and State U-25 men and women volleyball competition presented championship trophy to the Chief Minister and the Chief Minister awarded 5 million Kyats of cash prize to the championship trophy winner men volleyball team and 2.5 million Kyats of cash prize to the third prize winner women volleyball team.
Then, the donors presented cash of honor and the state minister for social affairs gave the certificate of honor. After extending words of thanks by U kyaw Than from the victorious volleyball team, the attendees were hosted with dinner, it’s reported.
