Activity in Magway: Chief Minister oversees cleaning activities

In order to make the environment of pagodas, monasteries, schools and hospitals clean and beautiful, collective cleaning activities are carried out every Saturday in Magway Region. This week, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin oversaw the activities in the compound of University of Medicine (Magway) by Tatmadawmen, members of the Police Force and Fire Brigade, staff from the township development Committee, teachers and locals.
These activities included clearing of grass, undergrowth and unnecessary tree branches, clearing garbage in drains and clearing of garbage. Participants were treated with Myanmar traditional snacks and drinking water. It’s reported that over 3,400 people participated in this week collective cleaning activities in 17 townships of Magway Region.
