

The leaders of Türkiye, Hungary, Azerbaijan and the post-Soviet Central Asian nations agreed to "strengthen the unity of the Turkic peoples" in the face of an "unstable" international situation, adding that their countries should "strengthen security cooperation" to prevent threats overspilling to their borders.
The leaders also urged peaceful resolutions to the conflict areas, with Turkish President Erdogan calling for the latter to end in a "quick ceasefire". The comments came at a meeting in Kazakhstan of the Organization of Turkic States, involving a belt of mostly resource-rich developing countries stretching across the middle of the Eurasian landmass, with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also attending as a guest.
