





With the aims to know the difference between domestic production and imported Gasifier, and to produce with minimum environmental impact, the coordination meeting (2/2023) on Rice husk Gasifier Technology was held at the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Union Minster for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Deputy Ministers, Director Generals and other relevant officials.
At the meeting, Union Minister for Industry said that the “committee on Rice Husk Fuel Gasifier technology” and “Rice Husk Fuel Gasifier Technology Sub-committee” have been established and working to develop and issue a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
There are 317 industries that use electric machines and 294 industries operating with direct engines among the 611 industries registered at the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection. The Union Minister urged attendees to make discussions for the development of SOP and to approve the best version for businesses.
The technology will be distributed to Gasifier producers and users. Next, Union Minister for Electric Power said that the Ministry of Electric Power has already set up and distributed the draft of SOP regarding the Gasifier to the relevant departments and the electric power from gasifiers will able to meet the electricity demand, and the Ministry will support the necessary assistance in academic and design sector for the Gasifier.
Next, Union Minister for Science and Technology stressed to effectively use the resources and analyze the land nature to develop the Gasifier projects. Then, attendees discussed matters on Gasifier SOP and Gasifier technology for gasifier projects.
