




The Ministry of Health has been giving treatment to congenital cleft lip and cleft palate patients at the 1,000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital and at the Dental Specialist Hospital (Nay Pyi Taw).
This treatment activity is to welcome the Myanmar Dental Health Science Conference to be held on the 3rd and 4th of November. Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win on Wednesday visited the Dental Specialist Hospital (Nay Pyi Taw) and inspected the treatment by the Korea-Myanmar joint team.
There, he also held talks with patients and their parents and presented a fruit basket as a gift to the Korean surgical team. It’s reported that on Wednesday, 12 cleft lip and cleft palate patients underwent operation at the Dental Specialist Hospital (Nay Pyi Taw) and treatment will be given to 14 more patients at the 1,000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital.
The Korean surgical team has been in Myanmar to participate in the upcoming Myanmar Dental Health Science Conference, it’s learnt.
