Abbas calls Arab leaders for emergency summit

Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas called for an emergency summit of Arab leaders to "stop this brutal aggression against our Palestinian people" after Israel said its war with Hamas had entered a "new phase."
The conflict between Israel and Palestine is the fifth and deadliest in Gaza since Israel unilaterally withdrew troops and settlers from the Palestinian territory in 2005.
