Graduation ceremony: NYRDDC held graduation ceremony

A graduation ceremony of B.A. and B.Sc. degrees (Batch-16) and issuing recruitment certificate was held at the convocation hall of Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College in Sagaing, in the morning on 25th October.

Also present on the occasion were the Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen. Tun Tun Naung, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen. Phyo Thant, Sagaing Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs, permanent secretary and departmental heads, special invited guests, representatives of the ministries which will hand the recruitment certificate, principal and Deputy principal of the Degree College, faculty members, students and their parents. 

In his graduation speech, the Union Minister Lt-Gen. Tun Tun Naung said the Ministry of border Affairs is making efforts for the stability of the country, development and the human resources development under the leadership pf the State Administration.

In line with the guidance of the Chairman of the Central Committee for the Development of the Border Areas and National Races, Prime Minister for the graduates of the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree Colleges to take part in the leading role in the regional Administration and the tasks for the development of MSMEs, the graduates will be employed at the Ministries of Home Affairs, Border Affairs, Agriculture livestock and Irrigation and Cooperative and Rural Development.

The Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree Colleges (Yangon) and (Sagaing) have been established with the objectives for the nationalities youth to participate in the border area development works and turning out outstanding human resources.The graduates are urged to abide by the civil Services personnel law, by-law, rules and regulations, procedures and directives strictly, to serve the civil service duties with high capacity for the development of the country and the region.

Next, the Union Minister awarded outstanding students in art subject and science subjects and the representatives from four ministries handed over certificate of employment. After taking documentary group photo with the graduate students, the Union Minister cordially greeted the graduates and their parents and gave words of honor to the graduates’ parents.

Consequently, the Union Minister inspected the construction works and agriculture and livestock breeding with the allocated fund for 2023-2024 fiscal year in the compound of degree college. In the afternoon, the Union Minister and party met with the rector, pro-rector, directors, professors, heads of departments and gave necessary instruction and fulfilled requirements in responding to the reports of the responsible officials.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the training of outside curriculum subjects given during the school holidays, cordially greeted the students and inspected cleaning and greening works, playground and gymnasium upgrading works, construction and agriculture and livestock breeding and gave necessary instructions. In the evening, the Union Minister and party hosted dinner of honor to the graduate students (batch-16), enjoyed the presenting performances and provided cash of honor and flower basket of honor.
