Paying Homage: SAC Chairman visits prominent pagodas in Taunggyi

On Friday night, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, along with the officials, visited Shwe Pone Pwint Pagoda in Taunggyi of Southern Shan State.
The SAC Chairman and wife and party offered flower, water and light to the Buddha image. After paying homage to the pagoda in clockwise direction, they enjoyed the scenic beauty of Taunggyi from Shu Khin Thar view point on the pagoda platform.
The SAC Chairman gave necessary instructions to the officials for conservation of the city’s natural resources and plans to upgrade Mya Sein Taung mountain road and downtown Bogyoke Road. Then, the SAC Chairman and wife donated cash for all round renovation of the pagoda.
On arrival at the Sular Muni Lawka Chan Thar Pagoda, the SAC Chairman and party paid homage to the Buddha image and offered flower and water. The Chairman of the Pagoda Board of Trustees and officials made explanation on completion of pagoda’s renovation processes.
Then, the SAC Chairman gave necessary instructions for long-term sustainability of the pagoda and arrangements for convenience of the pilgrims. During the tour, the SAC Chairman warmly greeted to the pilgrims on his way. Later, the SAC Chairman and wife made cash donation for all-round renovation of pagoda.
