




Union Minister for Labor U Myint Naung attended the opening ceremony of Kaday Htay and Baymakha Social Security Clinic in Kyaukse Township of Mandalay Region on Wednesday morning.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Labor, U Myint Naung, Minister for Social Affairs of Mandalay Region, the Director General and officials from Social Welfare, and other concern officials.
After the opening ceremonies, the Union Minister and officials toured the clinics. They then met with departmental staff under the ministry in Mandalay Region, and gave instructions to follow the rules and regulations to achieve the goals of the Ministry of Labor, while contributing to the nation.
Next, the Union Minister and party inspected Mandalay General Hospital, and comforted the patients, providing cash assistance. He also met with staff from the hospital at the meeting hall and fulfilled the requirements for the operations submitted by the hospital superintendent.
In Mandalay Region, there are over 115,000 social security registered workers and health care services have been providing for them through Mandalay General Hospital, 13 Township Social-Welfare Clinics, 9 Department Clinics, and 4 Contract Clinics.
From January to August this year, health care services were provided to more than 53,000 registered workers with over 1.3 billion kyats reimbursement for medical expenses to more than 9,000 patients.
