Rural Development: Deputy Minister inspects smart village implementation

Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe and officials visited Tachileik Township, met with staff from departments under the Ministry and urged them to make efforts to implement the policies and producers of the Ministry on Wednesday.

Then, they visited Tarkyant Village in Tachileik Township where a Smart Village Project is underway, and the director and officials from the Department of Rural Development (Eastern Shan State) reported the smart village implementation processes.

In his response, the Deputy Minister gave necessary instructions for the project to be completed on time according to the financial year, cultivate high-yield varieties of rice in 120 acres of farmland, and provide bamboo crafts techniques to local farmers.

Then, the Deputy Minister and officials presented excellent awards to trainees from the basic sewing training and motorcycle repair training in Tarkyant and TaungToneLone villages under the project of the Department of Small-Scale Industry. Also, the Deputy Minister inspected the construction process of the Aiklone-Aikmu rural road and gave necessary instructions.
