US$1.6 billion semiconductor factory inaugurated in Vietnam

The inauguration ceremony for Amkor Technology Group's semiconductor products factory was held in Bac Ninh province, Northern Vietnam on Wednesday.  Amkor, a leading US corporation in the semiconductor packaging and testing industry for the past 55 years, has invested a total of 1.6 billion USD in the factory.

Once completed, the factory system will become the world's largest semiconductor chip manufacturing center within the corporation's development network. The factory system adheres to the highest standards and produces semiconductor products for various industries, including telecommunications, automobiles, computers and smartphones as well as artificial intelligence technology solutions.
