







Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win together with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and officials inspected receding water from Kyauk Gyi Su reservoir where water is over-flow and coordinated the needs.
Later, the Union Minister and the Region Chief Minister visited relief camp at the Ponnya Kari Su Taung Pyae Pariyatti monastery in Myo Thit ward and presented cash assistance for rice ration, instant noodles, eggs and purified water bottles for 1,099 people of 245 households and also distributed snacks for flooded affected children.
After that, the Union Minister and party proceeded to Myo Oo Kin bridge and inspected inflow of water into the town.
At the relief camp opened at Pyinnya Mon Pariyatti Monastery, they presented cash for rice, food and purified water for 1,019 people of 228 flooded households and also distributed nutritious snacks for children and comforted flood victims.
The Union Minister then met with Yangon region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, the Regional Ministers and officials at the Hlegu Education Degree College and discussed with surging Nga Moe Yeik creek, flood condition in Hlegu due to heavy rain and measures for rescue works.
He then provided cash for rice ration for 1200 flood victims of 369 households who are temporarily accommodated in Pyinnya Ahman hall. The Region Chief Minister will continue to provide necessary things, it is learnt.
