Anti-Corruption Seminar: MOH Union Minister attended the event

An awareness seminar on Anti-Corruption was held at meeting hall of the Ministry of Health on Monday and it was attended by Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win.

At the seminar, Union Minister made an opening speech saying that by holding the anti-corruption seminars and events, government departments, organizations, responsible officials will able to understand the issues that can lead to corruption and negative effects, provisions of anti-corruption law, the criminal penalties and will be able to avoid the corruptions issues. 

Union Minster stressed that the Ministry of Health is a major department that is directly contact with the public and the awareness seminar is aimed to prevent the corruption that would harm the interest of the public.

The Ministry has formed the Corruption Prevention Unit-CPU and carried out to reduce and eliminate the corruption. 

Union Minister suggested other ministries to form the Corruption Prevention Unit (CPU) to carry out their tasks effectively, emphasize on Corruption Risk Assessment-CRA and identify weakness.

He also suggested the mutual control system among the staffs to prevent the corruption effectively.

Then, Director General and Directors of Anti-Corruption Commission discussed matters on Anti-Corruption Law, behaviors, reasons, negative effects of corruption and operations of anti-corruption matters carried out by commission, preventive measures of related corruption issues, matters on investigation section.

And, the relevant officials replied to queries raised by the attendees.
