Large-scale underwater waste collection operation in Arcachon bay

More than 70 kilos of rubbish have been collected by more than 200 divers during a vast underwater clean-up operation in the Arcachon bay in southwest France, one of the largest events of its kind held in Europe, according to the organizers.

I want divers to understand that they have to play an integral part in preserving the marine environment, and not just dive for pleasure, to take nice photos, Olivier Linardon said.
