Generating electricity and maintenance tasks: Union Minister inspects natural gas power plants

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun together with officials inspected Electricity Supply Enterprise in Kyauktan Township of Yangon Region, Thilawa Natural Gas Power Plant, Natural Gas Power plants in Thaketa Township and generating electricity by the natural gas power plants in Alon township on 8th October.

During his inspection, the Union Minister stressed to be proficient in technical skills to be able to operate the factories when handing over as the power plants are being undertaken with the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) and Build Operate Own (BOO) systems, annual maintenance of the machines to be durable, generating machines at full capacity, stockpiling of necessary spare parts and keeping watch on the staff difficulties and administrative needs.

He also called for the staffs to follow the civil service law and to be loyal on the state and systematically maintain their staff housing, sanitation and security measures and cordially met with the staff and provided cash and foodstuff for them.

Later, the Union Minister viewed around supply of electricity by linking with the National Grid, operation of the power plants and generating electricity from the power plants and the sites chosen for the construction of 380 MW (Gross) Class Combined Cycle Power Plant of TTCL Power Myanmar Co., Ltd and gave necessary instructions on the reports of officials.
