19th Asian Games: Athletes arrive back with 1 gold and 2 bronze medals

Myanmar athletes together with coaches and managers who participated in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou of China arrived back in Yangon on Saturday evening.

They were welcomed at the Yangon International Airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and region ministers, Director General of the Sports and Physical Education Department, officials from Myanmar Sports Federation, chairman of the Myanmar Veteran Selected Athletes Association and concerned officials.

At the Games, the Myanmar athletes won 1 gold medal in men Sepak Takraw competition, 1 bronze medal in women 500-m Dragon Boat Race and 1 bronze medal in men 1000-m Dragon Boat Race.
