Rubber Industry: SAC member presides over meeting for development

The Meeting on the Development of Myanmar Rubber Industry was held at the office No. 30 of the Ministry of Industry on 5th October. It was attended by Member of the Sate Administration Council U Mahn Nyein Maung, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Chairman of the Myanmar Rubber Planters & Producers Association, patrons of the MSME development agencies, departmental officials from the ministries, experts and entrepreneurs.

At the meeting, SAC member U Man Nyein Maung gave an opening speech. Then, the Union Ministers delivered speeches. Afterwards, the attendees made discussions on sustainable development of the Myanmar rubber industry aby solving the difficulties faced by MSMEs in rubber planting, production and selling, enhancing the rubber production and quality of the products and having set price.

The meeting is aimed to generate daily certain income from the international rubber market. The meeting was concluded by the closing remarks by the Union Minister for Industry.
