Thai (Bangkok)-Yangon-Magway Trip: To create a tourism market & attract more Thai visitors

Magway Region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism is implementing Thai (Bangkok)-Yangon-Magway trip aiming to create a tourism market and to attract more Thai visitors.

The Directorate of Hotels and Tourism introduced tourism destinations by inviting visitors from Thailand. The Director of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism in Magway region said it is engaging with travel tour agencies to share the facts and experiences obtained from the trip and it hopes to arrive the tourists in the region in coming open season. 

Zaw Lwin Htet , Director , Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Magway)  said " In the last July 28 to 31, there was instruction to expand tourism sites in Magway region to enter international tourists. To implement this work plan, we introduced tourism destinations to our friends from Thailand and experts involved in the tourism industry under Public-Private Partnership program and we toured Magway, Minbu, Minhla, Gway Chaung fort, Yay Nanchaung and the visiting places. The visitors were satisfied and we also received recommendation from them. "

Magway Region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism will cooperate with relevant departments to implement Thai (Bangkok)-Yangon-Magway destination. 

Zaw Lwin Htet , Director , Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Magway) said " We will promote again and again the possible sites and share the data. We will launch facebook page to penetrate into the market. We will distribute the data to the Myanmar Tourism Federation and Tourism Marketing Committee and private organizations." 

There are 57 hotels and guest houses in Magway Region and, over 1.8 million tourists entered Magway region as of August 2023.
