Defence Services: VSG meets instructors and cadets at DSA

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win held a meeting with officer instructors and cadets at the Convocation Hall of the Defence Services Academy (DSA) in Pyin Oo Lwin on Tuesday.

In this meeting, the Vice Senior General alerted all to monitor the attempts of some powerful countries to interfere in the internal affairs of developing countries like Myanmar through various ways and means by applying soft and hard powers in multiple warfares. He also stressed that the State, Tatmadaw and the people have to make collaborative efforts in unison to overcome challenges.

The general election to be held by the State Administration Council must be free and fair. IT technology is being applied in the enumeration of correct and basic population and household census and verifying citizenship scrutiny cards. The Vice Senior General also noted that the State and the Tatmadaw are holding peace talks with NCA signatories and non-signatories and opening the door for the restoration of durable and perpetual peace.

Arrangements are being made to hold a ceremony to mark the 8th Anniversary of signing NCA in Nay Pyi Taw on 15 October. The meeting was also attended by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, high-ranking senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of the Central Command, and the commandant of DSA.
