








Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General SoeWin on Monday attended the ceremonies of the 100th Anniversary of the No. 1 700-bed Defence Services Hospital, Inauguration of Radiation and Oncology Department and Seminar on Defence Services Medicine.
First at the Hospital in Pyin Oo Lwin, the Vice-Senior General and officials celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the No. 1 700-bed Defence Services Hospital and ceremonially opened theRadiation and Oncology Department. And, the Vice-Senior General viewed the round the department, gave encouragement to patients and provided foodstuffs.
In his speech at the Seminar on Defence Services Medicine, the Vice-Senior General expressed words of congratulations on the Hospital and medical corps. He also briefed history of the Hospital which was established in 1923 as the British Military Hospital and expansion in 1986, 2002, 2016, 2020 and 2022.
He also highlighted medical services of the Hospital to thousands of people, medical research and title of the Seminar ‘Capacity building of military medical professionals in health system changes’. And, the Vice-Senior General presented awards in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the No. 1 700-bed Defence Services Hospital.
The ceremonies also included a stage performance. There, the Vice-Senior General also held talks with retired medical corps and viewed the commemorative posters and booths.
