Essay and Painting Contest: Marking the Int’l Day for Disaster Risk Reduction

Marking the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction-IDDRR that will be held in October 2023, the Basic Education High School and Middle School Level Essay and Painting Contest was held at the No.9 Basic Education High School in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Friday.

181 students from 33 schools out of basic education schools in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area participated in the contest with the topic, “Fighting Inequality for a Resilient Future”.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win together with deputy minister, permanent secretary and officials viewed around participating of students at the essay and painting contest. 

Prizes were presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners on the commemorative ceremony of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction-IDDRR that will be held on 18th October 2023.
