Energy transition facilitation for sustainable development

Around 600 guests from government departments of over 40 countries, international organizations, industry associations, research institutes and other organizations discussed energy transition facilitation for sustainable development of the world at the Global Energy Interconnection Conference in Beijing on Tuesday.

The attendees said the global energy transition has entered the phase of overall acceleration, and the new-type electrical power system should be the mainstay in construction of the Global Energy Interconnection mechanism.

During the conference, the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization signed agreements with 11 organizations on cooperation in fields including study on strategic planning of energy development, technology assessment of renewable energy, and formulating standards for transnational network connection.
