Inspection Tour: MoI Union Minister inspected industrial zones and factories

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than met with the Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, discussed the status of upgrading works in No (2) Industrial Training Center (Mandalay) with the assistance of the People’s Republic of China and helping out the requirements to be in line with the law, by-law and the Chief Minister reciprocated the status to help fulfill and the work processes to be implemented in detail in the morning on 26th September.

Next, the Union Minister paid homage to the Venerable Thitagu Sayadawgyi in Sagaing Township, offered cash donation and Waso Robe to the Sayadawgyi, took the sermon and shared the merits gained. At the Sagaing District Office of the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection, the Union Minister heard the clarification of the district in-charge and gave the necessary instructions.

At the office of Sagaing Industrial Zone Management Committee, the Union Minister met the entrepreneurs in the industrial zone and clarified the new second economic objective out of three described to encourage Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) for the promotion of the export sector, relying on the developed economic drive and the policy of the Ministry of Industry stating To promote and expand the agro-based industries, value-added farm-product industries and food processing industries with the aim of boosting the sectors of Agriculture, Livestock and Industry with equal balance; and to promote import substituted commodities and exports by encouraging Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and establishing Heavy Industrial Enterprises, the guidance of the SAC Chairman at the MSMEs Development Central Committee Meeting and the government’s efforts to provide the necessary assistances for the development of MSMEs.

Then, the Chair of Sagaing Industrial Zone Management Committee clarified the facts of the industrial zone, status of work implementations of the factories in the zone, requirements and the attendee entrepreneurs reported the obstacles encountered in the implementation of commodity production.
