




Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin OoLwin, accompanied by Deputy Minister Daw Nu MraZan and officials, conducted an inspection of the construction site of the Myanmar Arts Center in Yangon Region on Sunday.
Officials provided updates on the construction progress, and the Union Minister gave instructions before taking a tour to assess the ongoing work. The Myanmar Arts Center is being developed on an 8.41-acre plot of land on Mindhamma Road in Insein Township of Yangon North District.
Its purpose is to provide an international-standard stage for showcasing movies, music, and theatrical arts. The project was initiated in 2015, and the Implementation Committee signed a contract with iGreen Construction Co., Ltd. in March 2016. Currently, Skeleton Phase-1 of the construction has been completed within the allocated budget.
Upon completion, the center will host a wide range of international cultural variety shows, musical and theatrical dramas, orchestra concerts, musical performances, art exhibitions, workshops, and educational art seminars.
